Matthew 5:8The Pure In Heart - Blessed are the pure in heart sermon on the mount
Psalm 73 — the psalmist opens with surely God is good to those who are pure in heart. Then immediately admits his feet had almost slipped. Because he looked around and saw those who hated God prospering. Healthy bodies. Free from the burdens everyone else carries. And he thought — did I keep my heart pure for nothing? We've all been there. Where evil people seem to get more than they deserve and go unpunished. But then Asaph enters the sanctuary of God. He sees how big God is. His glory. His promises. A glimpse of eternity. And arrives at one of the most beautiful conclusions in all of scripture. Whom have I in heaven but you. Earth has nothing I desire besides you. That's the undivided heart. That's pure in heart. Part 2 of a 2 part series on Matthew 5:8. New video every day. Follow so you don't miss it.
