True, but now you've got two more words to define. Welcome to Christianese, where we take church words and define them simply. Faith is simply trust you act on. For example, you don't know every mechanical detail of your car, and yet every morning you turn that key expecting it to start. You act on that trust. In fact, you act on trust every day. And in scripture, Jesus showed what this looks like in two very different examples.
A Roman officer asked Jesus to heal his servant and said, just say the word and he'll be healed. Jesus called that great faith. And then we have Peter, who walked on water, but then got scared by the storm and sank. Jesus called this little faith. But even a little faith cried out, Lord, save me. And Jesus did. The point? Faith's power isn't in how big it is. It's who it's in. Faith is trust every single day. Drop a comment
