Romans 5He Is Risen — The Power Of The Resurrection

Published · 2 min video

Two thousand years ago today an angel stood at an empty tomb and said — he is not here. He is risen. Paul tells us in Romans 5 that through Jesus's death we were reconciled to God. So why does the resurrection matter? In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul makes a legal argument. Over five hundred people saw Jesus alive after the crucifixion. Most of them still alive when Paul wrote this. Go check. Jesus is the firstfruits of those who have died. Because he came back to life everyone who believes and trusts in him will also have eternal life. When he died he took the death we deserve. When he rose he gave us life we don't deserve. In his death we are forgiven. In his life we are given life. Not just a future life in heaven. Life today. Because he lives we live. O death where is your victory. O death where is your sting. He is risen. Share this with someone who needs to hear it this Easter. Final video of a daily Passion Week series. Follow for more.
